For the love of process, for the desire to explore the outdoors in winter. I collected a variety of dried grasses and plants from a January visit to the Andorra Meadow, one of my favorite meditative walking places. When I’m there, I’m a part of the landscape. For this project I decided to explore the parts that make up the whole. Each plant was exposed onto a hand-pained cyanotype background using the light of the winter sun. Subtle forms, simple accidents emerging for quiet contemplation. A structured approach done loosely.
